I grew up fortunate enough to have a great set of parents who taught me their frugal spending values and taught me to save early. A proud product of Norwalk Public Schools, I graduated from UConn with a degree in Computer Science and Engineering. I'm also proud of the fact that I paid for my own tuition (and room and board and books) through a combination of scholarships, student loans, and money I had saved/made from my after-school and summer jobs.
During my 30+ years of work as a technical lead, project manager, business analyst, engagement manager, and analyst lead, I've kept my focus on saving and investing for the future. If you're interested, here are some milestones I've achieved.
I've been married to my wonderful wife Jen for 16 years. I have two amazing kids: Andy and Sophia, who I'm teaching to save and invest in their early teens.
I self-identify as a huge nerd with a Growth Mindset and I love to throw myself into hobbies and interests until I understand them to my satisfaction. A few of my hobbies are reading/audiobooks, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (started at age 42! Competed several times and have 3 golds and one bronze; retired as a brown belt at 49 after repeated back injuries), fitness (weight training; walking; ask me about Apple Fitness), and long-term investing, of course.
My mission is to help give others the same sense of confidence and comfort dealing with money that I've achieved in my life and to help people meet their wealth-building goals.
I do this by offering affordable coaching that’s delivered with compassion and always with the best interests of my clients in-mind.
I formed my coaching business in 2023.
The business came as an idea after thoroughly enjoying the Netflix series "How to Get Rich". While watching it, I was struck by two things. The first was that I felt validated that Ramit Sethi was preaching many of the techniques that I had been practicing for years (e.g. the mindset of spending on things I love; automation techniques for saving; the mutual hatred of exorbitant management fees). The second was how money is such a source of negative emotions for most people. It sounds corny, but I felt a calling.
Over the years, I have successfully helped many of my friends and family with financial advice. I always felt very gratified and happy to use what I've learned to help them take positive actions in their lives. I feel the same sense of joy when I assist my clients professionally. I'd like to help you the same way.
